Additional Fees: For Workshops at your location a Travel Fee will be added and calculated based on location: $25 for <15 minutes, $50 for 16-30 minutes, $75 for 31-45 minutes, $100 for 46- 60 minutes, $125 for 61-75 minutes, $150 for 76-90 minutes, $175 for 91-105 minutes, $200 for 106-120 minutes.

For Pole Dance Workshops at your location we require the following in order to set-up:

1) A minimum 6' x 6' floor clearance

2) A minimum 8' ceiling height with no overhead chandelier or ceiling fan

3) Elevator access for locations above or below ground level

For Aerial Workshops at your location we require the following in order to setup:

1) A minimum 47 sq ft floor clearance

2) A minimum 8' ceiling height with no overhead chandelier or ceiling fan

The Polefessor is definitely a one of a kind instructor and influencer. She is a self-taught pole dancer and aerialist who started in 2010 learning from YouTube videos. Since then, she has garnered respect from fellow artists, and gained self-knowledge about herself as a person, instructor and performer.

 

The Polefessor started her pole and aerial teaching career in 2015 in Gulfport, MS after opening her own studio, Aerial Fit Lab, the first dance studio on the Mississippi Gulf Coast to offer Pole Dance and Aerial Arts. She is the creator of Poledorant, the industries first Pole Friendly Natural Deodorant and Grip Aid. She continues her journey traveling, teaching and training.

What makes The Polefessor unique is her support system. It is her job to make sure that everyone leaves feeling stronger, happier, and successful. She continuously cheers and supports her clients! Her style is very versatile. Whether one chooses to be the sexy or athletic side of pole, she can help project exactly who and what they want to be. Proper Technique is a heavy focus for The Polefessor and her workshops. She believes it is important that proper form is essential to move through the movements without struggle with a strong foundation. The Polefessor is perusing her Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, which has greatly helped her recognize the bodies natural alignment and movements. She is also a 8 year military Veteran, Mother and pilar in her community helping shape and mold women into being more confident and strong one class at a time.

Pole Fiit

Pole Fitness incorporates the principles of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) using bodyweight exercises on the pole. Pole Fitness targets your entire body and is good for your mind, body and soul. It strengthens your core and back, boosts your metabolism, improves coordination, balance and flexibility, increases body confidence and endurance, tightens and tones your body and helps you lose weight. Lets not forget to mention it's FUN! Pole Fitness is also a great way to condition and build strength for a particular pole dance trick you have your eye set on, but not quite mastered yet.  Wear form fitted clothing that exposes the lower legs such as shorts and a tank top or t-shirt. Pole Therapy

Improve your physical well being and heighten your sense self awareness. Pole dance is a great form of therapy that can help boost your confidence and self esteem and it’s also a fun and flirty fitness alternative. Pole Therapy Sessions begin with a Energy Reading followed by a Warm Up and Pole Dance Lesson ending with a Cool Down Stretch and Guided Meditation. Wear form fitted clothing that exposes the lower legs such as shorts and a tank top or t-shirt. No street clothes or jewelry. Do not apply any lotions or oils to your skin prior to class. Pop Your Pole Cherry

Intro

This workshop is for those who have never taken a pole class with us before. Pole Dance is a Fun and Flirty Fitness Alternative. This Workshop Covers Intro Level Pole Dance Fundamentals. Class will begin with a warm-up. You’ll then learn the basics. Class will end with a cool down stretch. Wear form fitted clothing that exposes the lower legs such as shorts and a tank top or t-shirt. Poleography

This workshop is for those who have never taken a Pole Class with us before. Pole Dance is a Fun and Flirty Fitness Alternative. Class will begin with a warm-up. You’ll then learn beginner level spins and transitions. Class will end with sequencing a number of the moves you learned together into a fun combo before stretching. Wear form fitted clothing that exposes the lower legs such as shorts and a tank top or t-shirt. No street clothes or jewelry. Do not apply any lotions or oils to your skin prior to class. You will need a towel, water and yoga mat. No experience necessary. 

Tricks & Treats

All Levels

We cover Beginner to Advanced level Tricks and Spins. Class will begin with a warm-up. You’ll then learn a few upright tricks and spins on the pole. Class will end with a cool down stretch. Wear form fitted clothing that exposes the lower legs such as shorts and a tank top or t-shirt. No street clothes or jewelry. Do not apply any lotions or oils to your skin prior to class. Spinderella

All Levels

This workshop is for those who are new to spinning pole or having trouble controlling your speed or dizziness. We will cover spinning pole fundamentals, conditioning, tips to control speed and dizziness, level appropriate spins and tricks. Wear form fitted clothing that exposes the lower legs such as shorts and a tank top or t-shirt. No street clothes or jewelry. Do not apply any lotions or oils to your skin prior to class. You will need a towel, water and yoga mat. Masks are Mandatory. Screenings are Required. Some pole experience recommended but not required. All levels welcome.

Bottoms Up

All Levels

Inverting is simply the act of getting your hips above your head. In this workshop we explore more ways than one of getting in a vertical position with our heads down and bottoms up both grounded and on the pole. More variations means more progressions, more progressions means more options for BODIES with unique limitations and abilities. Wear form fitted clothing that exposes the lower legs such as shorts and a tank top or t-shirt. No street clothes or jewelry. Do not apply any lotions or oils to your skin prior to class. You will need a towel, water and yoga mat. Masks are Mandatory. Screenings are Required. Some pole experience recommended but not required. All Levels welcome.

Flow Motion

All Levels

Flow Motion is low pole flow movement around the base of the pole such as spins, rolls, handstands and floor work, as opposed to climbing or doing aerial tricks. We being class with a warm up exercise and end with a cool down stretch. You will need a towel, water and yoga mat. Masks are Mandatory. Screenings are Required and temperatures will be checked. All levels welcome. Some experience recommended but not required. 

Chair Flair

All Levels

Learn Sensual Chair Moves that will tone your abs, butt and legs. This workshop will consist of a combination of exotic dancing and floorwork using the chair to create a dance that will make you feel sexy and powerful. You are welcome to bring your heels and a zipper/button up shirt to remove and spice this up! You will need a towel, water and yoga mat. Masks are Mandatory. Screenings are Required. No experience necessary. All levels welcome.

Twerk Sum

All Levels

Twerk is best way to fit, legit and official booty results! High impact cardio and glute workout that teaches glute muscle control, bounce and shake! Often the most requested workshop, You will see your booty lift and shape as your legs become more defined. You burn more than 700 calories in one lesson, excluding the warm up and cool down. With correct posture and body placement, twerking engages your abs, glutes, lower back, thighs and calves. It loosens your hips and strengthens your arms (wall twerking). It is highly addictive and you will catch yourself moving one cheek at a time while standing in line at the grocery store. There are different levels to twerking and it can be combined with other fitness offerings at Aerial Fit Lab. Beginner twerking teaches the basics on the floor. Intermediate teaches twerking on the wall, handstands and chairs. Advanced twerking teaches twerking on the pole, doubles/partners and in heels! Each lesson comes with a routine. Bring knee pads if you have them. Wear form fitted “twerkable” bottoms. You will need a towel, water and yoga mat. Masks are Mandatory. Screenings are Required. No experience necessary. Head Over Heels

Have you ever wanted to dance like a video vixen? Now you can! This workshop is a sassy, hip hop meets cardio session with dance combinations that will provide a full body workout like no other. You will also learn sexy floorwork and how to confidently dance and walk in a pair of heels!  Let loose and unleash your inner Beyonce' and Rhianna! All while completing intense muscle toning movements disguised by clever choreography, loud music and FUN! Heels are optional but highly encouraged. Bring long socks, leg warmers, or knee pads. You will need something to cover and protect your knees. Dress as Sexy or Conservative as you would like. You will need a towel, water and yoga mat. Masks are Mandatory. Screenings are Required. No experience necessary. All levels welcome.

Aerial Silks (Fabric/Tissu)

Intro

Beginner

We begin with a warm up which focuses on building strength and endurance followed by mat training, then progress to learning the fundamentals, basic climbs and tricks low to the ground both on and off the knot, ending with a cool down stretch. This workshop combines the rigor of Aerial Silks training with the fun and artistry of Aerial Dance. No dynamic drips covered in this workshop. Wear form fitted tops and bottoms that cover the back of the knees, midsection and armpits. Wear clothing free of zippers and buttons. No street clothes or jewelry. You will need a towel, water, and yoga mat. Masks are Mandatory. Screenings are Required. No experience necessary.

Lyra (Aerial Hoop/Ring)

We begin with a warm up which focuses on building strength and endurance followed by mat training, then progress to learning the fundamentals, mounts, tricks and dismount sequences. We also dabble in the art of spinning which is what Lyra is famous for, ending with a cool down stretch. This workshop helps you gain ability to move through poses with grace and ease while gaining strength and control. Wear form fitted clothing that exposes the lower legs and covers the midsection and armpits. No street clothes or jewelry. You will need a towel, water and yoga mat. Masks are Mandatory. Screenings are Required. No experience necessary.

Floor Play

All Levels

Floor work allows you to freely move your body in more creative and expressive ways so that your dance works with the music lyrics and not against it. Floor work is also one of the most important parts of a pole dance routine because it gives you a “break” between exhausting and challenging pole moves and holds as well as gives more room for expressive dancing. Wear form fitted clothing that covers the legs and knees such as thigh high socks, leg warmers and knee pads if you have them. You will need a towel, water and yoga mat. Masks are Mandatory. Screenings are Required. No experience necessary. All levels welcome.

Stretch & Flex

All Levels

Stretching is an important part of getting in shape and staying fit. Together we will be stretch our hamstrings, quads, and opening up our hips to one day perform the splits or over splits. We will be stretching our back and other major joins for overall body flexibility, making pole work easier and improve injury prevention. Stretching is also the perfect way to wine down from your busy work week. Wear form fitted clothing that covers the legs. You will need a towel, water and yoga mat. Masks are Mandatory. Screenings are Required. No experience necessary. All levels welcome.

If your group would like to attend a workshop please visit the workshops page and read the following below: - Your group must follow the regular class instruction - There are no photos allowed during classes - Your group must not be disruptive to other students in class or the instructor. - No special attire is allowed (sashes, crowns, boas, etc for birthdays or bachelorette parties). - Your group is still subject to all of the studio late policies and no show polices, No exceptions.
  • What is the difference between a private lesson and a party?
    A Private Lesson is one on one instruction. A Private Party is a social gathering of invited guests, typically involving music, dance, entertainment, games, gifts, eating and drinking etc.
  • Do you offer daily classes?
    Classes are scheduled according to demand. As the demand increases more classes are scheduled.
  • What's the difference between a class and a workshop?
    A class meets on a regular basis, for instance once a week or more frequent or less. While a workshop is a one time event usually with a particular focus or a special instructor. Workshops can last anywhere from one day to an entire weekend.
  • Where are you located?
    We are available for domestic and international travel. View the Tour Schedule for location and dates.
  • Can you come to me for a private lesson?
    Yes. Request a private lesson at your location.
  • Do you offer online lessons?
    Yes. All you need is your own equipment and a electronic device such as a mobile phone, tablet, or computer with a camera and internet connection. You may also purchase equipment from our Online Store. I also suggest subscribing to our Online Community for Video Tutorials, Online Coaching, Monthly Challenges, Exclusive Discounts and More!
  • Are there any age restrictions?
    All persons must be at least 18.
  • Do your poles have a weight limit?
    No. Our poles can accommodate more than one person at a time (doubles tricks).

Our Stage Poles Do Not Need to be Mounted to the Ceiling or Floor, Can be used in a Home or Outside Setting and have Static or Spin Capabilities. Pole rentals do not come with an instructor or entertainer. However, you can hire The Polefessor as an instructor or performer to teach or perform at your event.   • Will the stage pole fit in my venue?

  • Will the stage pole damage the floor or ceiling?
    The equipment is free-standing and the pole does not touch the ceiling. There are anti-slip silicone pads situated underneath the base of the stage to prevent the pole from sliding when in use and also protect the floor from possible damage. We have not had issues with floor damage.
  • What is setup and break down like?
    Setup usually takes less than half an hour depending on stage pole placement and venue location. We also require elevator access for locations above or below ground level in order to setup.
  • Do your poles have a weight limit?
    There is a manufacturer weight limit of 250lbs. However our poles can accomodate more than one person at a time (doubles tricks)
  • Can I just rent a stage pole?

  • Will we only be in the studio for the time that we book or can we have refreshments after?
    Yes, please keep this in mind when you are selecting a private party package. You can also reserve extra time to enjoy refreshments.
  • Do we provide our own food and drink?
    Yes. You are allowed to bring Finger Foods and/or Cake and Non Alcoholic Drinks Only. A $50 non-refundable cleaning fee will be charged and due at time of booking. Please be mindful of party time limit and groupsize when planning to bring and consume food/drink. If you run over the allotted time you will be subject to additional charges of $25 per 15 minutes. Additional party time may also be requested for $1 per minute. We also have a list of caterers if you would like more information. Contact us for pricing.
  • Do we bring our own decorations?
    The space (our location) is already decorated but you can also decorate your own party table if you would like. Additional time must be requested at the time of booking.
  • Can I add more people to my reservation after I book?
    If the number of group size needs to change prior to your event, you must let us know at least 72 hours in advance in order to make proper accommodations. All persons must complete documents prior to party in order to attend.
  • Will the stage pole fit in my venue?
    We require the following in order to set-up: 1) A minimum 6' x 6' floor clearance 2) A minimum 8' ceiling height 3) Elevator access for locations above or below ground level
  • Will the stage pole damage the floor or ceiling?
    The equipment is free-standing and the pole does not touch the ceiling. There are anti-slip silicone pads situated underneath the base of the stage to prevent the pole from sliding when in use and also protect the floor from possible damage. We have not had issues with floor damage.
  • Can I move the pole around after it is setup?
    No. The Stage Pole is an industry level pole that weighs over 205 lbs and was not designed to be a mobile piece. If you decide to move the stage or disassemble it, you will be responsible for any damages or missing parts.
